At Fairfax Radiology, we are privileged to support our community and local foundations. In honor of our commitment to give back, we continue to support Mantua Elementary School Kids Care Club and W.T. Woodson Young Hearts Club by sponsoring the 19th annual Mantua Raccoon Run, held May 11, 2019.
Hundreds of participants lined up for the 5k race and 1 Mile Fun Run in memory of Roberta Romano, beloved teacher and friend, and in honor of those whose lives have been affected by caner. The run raised funds for Life with Cancer, a program of the Inova Schar Cancer Institute.
Life with Cancer, based in the Washington DC metropolitan area, provides resources to cancer patients, survivors, and their family members. They address medical and emotional needs through education, support groups, and wellness programs. 80% of their funding is through philanthropy and community fundraising events, such as the Mantua Raccoon Run.
