At Fairfax Radiology, we are at the front line of fighting breast cancer. We know that early detection saves lives. We are also committed to raise awareness about Breast Cancer and to give back to our community. This month Fairfax Radiology is proud to support two organizations dedicated to this fight.
The IIIB’s Foundation (Bosom Buddy Baskets)
The IIIB’s Foundation dedicates resources to help comfort women through the emotional and physical pain of mastectomy breast cancer surgery by providing Bosom Buddy Baskets. Each Bosom Buddy Basket provides valuable and convenient information, recovery items and emotional support at the time of diagnosis.
Fairfax Radiology was proud to donate to The IIIB’s Foundation by sponsoring Bosom Buddy Baskets that will be delivered to women at three local hospitals. The Baskets are specifically made for patients awaiting mastectomy breast cancer surgery. They are designed to be most useful during the first five days post operation and aid in recovery.
7th Annual Bras for Hope
Fairfax Radiology is also happy to sponsor the 7th Annual Bras for Hope Fundraiser at Belle Mode Intimates. On October 27, 2018 from 11am to 7pm, you can shop for this cause and refresh your bra wardrobe. A portion of the proceeds will go to Inova’s Life with Cancer Foundation.
At this event, there is also a Mastectomy and Lingerie Trunk Show with raffle prizes, breast education, bra fittings, refreshments, and swag bags with the first 25 purchases.
