FAIRFAX, Va., September 2025 — Fairfax Radiology, the region’s largest and most experienced radiology practice, announced the addition of Lin Luo, MD, a fellowship-trained breast imaging radiologist, to its expanding Breast Imaging team. Dr. Luo joins the practice following advanced subspecialty training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, bringing strong clinical expertise in mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and image-guided breast procedures.
Dr. Luo completed his Breast Imaging Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital after a four-year Diagnostic Radiology Residency at AdventHealth Orlando, where he earned multiple research and academic awards, including honors from the Florida Radiological Society and the AdventHealth GME Research Symposium. He previously completed a preliminary internal medicine year at Flushing Hospital Medical Center and earned his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Luo’s academic foundation also includes international experience as an exchange student at the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Science in biology from Peking University, where he graduated with multiple academic distinctions, including Merit Graduate (Top 10 percent), Academic Excellence Award and a full-tuition scholarship.
An active contributor to clinical research, Dr. Luo has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and abstracts across breast imaging, abdominal radiology, interventional oncology and musculoskeletal imaging. His work has been presented at national specialty meetings, including the Society of Abdominal Radiology, Society of Interventional Radiology, Association of University Radiologists and the American Roentgen Ray Society.

Dr. Luo maintains active state medical licenses and is a member of several professional societies, including the Society of Breast Imaging, American College of Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America. He is bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and has participated in global health and community outreach initiatives in the United States, Singapore, China and Cambodia.
Outside of work, Dr. Luo enjoys exploring healthcare policy, volunteering and staying engaged in academic radiology.
