FAIRFAX, Va., September 2025 — Fairfax Radiology (FRC) is pleased to announce that Priya B. Patel, MD, has joined the practice’s Breast Imaging team, expanding FRC’s capabilities in screening and diagnostic services aimed at early detection and improved patient outcomes.
Dr. Patel completed a Breast Imaging Fellowship at UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital and served as chief resident during her Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She brings expertise in mammography, breast MRI, ultrasound, and contrast-enhanced imaging, as well as a strong background in research and teaching. Her work has been published in J Breast Imaging and presented at national conferences including the American Roentgen Ray Society and Society of Breast Imaging.

Dr. Patel earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester. She has held multiple leadership roles during her training, including chief resident, student council president, and president of Women in Medicine and Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology interest groups.
