FAIRFAX, Va., April 2025 — Fairfax Radiology (FRC), the region’s leading provider of subspecialized radiology services, is pleased to announce that Windy K. Matich, MD, has joined its Body Imaging team. Dr. Matich brings extensive experience in abdominal imaging, radiology education, and imaging protocol development—further advancing FRC’s mission to deliver compassionate, expert, and accessible care to the communities it serves.
Dr. Matich completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and subsequently served as a clinical instructor in Abdominal Imaging at the University of Virginia. She practiced with Commonwealth Radiology Associates in Massachusetts, where she served as an assistant professor of radiology at Tufts Medical Center and has contributed significantly to imaging protocol development, tumor board participation, and quality improvement initiatives. She holds board certification through the American Board of Radiology.
With a background that spans general surgery training, advanced abdominal imaging, protocol innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration, Dr. Matich enhances the clinical depth of FRC’s expanding Body Imaging team.
In joining FRC, Dr. Matich also noted how deeply the practice values and supports its radiologists, fostering a culture where physicians are respected, well-treated, and empowered.
