FAIRFAX, Va., July 2026 — Fairfax Radiology Centers (FRC), is proud to announce that Raghav D. Acharya, M.D., has joined its Breast Imaging team. Dr. Acharya brings advanced fellowship training, a strong academic background, and a passion for patient-centered breast imaging, further strengthening FRC's commitment to providing exceptional subspecialized imaging care across the region.

Dr. Acharya completed his Breast Imaging Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, following his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the same institution. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Central Michigan University College of Medicine and graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Philosophy. Throughout his training, Dr. Acharya has been actively involved in breast imaging research, including studies evaluating MRI-guided breast biopsies and imaging-pathology correlation to improve diagnostic accuracy.

At FRC, Dr. Acharya will provide comprehensive breast imaging services, supporting the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease. His professional interests include breast MRI, image-guided breast biopsy, imaging-pathology correlation, and advancing research that enhances diagnostic precision and patient outcomes. In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed to the education of radiologic technology students and medical students through lectures and simulation training.
