Fairfax Radiological Consultants Welcomes Musculoskeletal Radiologist Dr. William Boyd

FAIRFAX, Va., July 2025 — Fairfax Radiological Consultants, PLLC (FRC) is pleased to announce the addition of William Boyd, MD, who joined the practice’s Musculoskeletal (MSK) Imaging team. Dr. Boyd brings extensive clinical experience, a strong academic foundation, and a demonstrated commitment to advancing radiology education and technology.

Dr. Boyd joins FRC from Medical Center Radiologists in Norfolk, Virginia, where he provided diagnostic imaging services across multiple Sentara hospitals, including Williamsburg, CarePlex, Norfolk General, Leigh, and Virginia Beach General.

Dr. Boyd completed his Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship at the University of Virginia Hospital after finishing his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. He also completed an Internal Medicine internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Boyd has contributed meaningful research in areas such as radiology education effectiveness, laryngeal tuberculosis imaging, and cardiac myocyte modeling. His work has been presented nationally and published in peer-reviewed journals. He has delivered more than 50 original lectures for medical students and radiology residents throughout his career.
