Dr. Toyin Idowu Joins the Fairfax Radiology Team

Dr. Toyin Idowu joined Fairfax Radiology November 2018, specializing in Neuro Imaging. Her training in Diagnostic Radiology and subspecialty training in Neuroradiology was completed at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She subsequently became Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Chief of Neuroimaging at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Her area of expertise and research has been in stroke, vascular and perfusion imaging.

“I am looking forward to the transition to an established practice of highly trained colleagues. Fairfax Radiological Consultants (FRC) offers advanced imaging options with subspecialty Radiologists where specifically my Neuroradiology expertise can be well utilized.

My years of training, and clinical and research work at Johns Hopkins have allowed me to establish a fantastic network of clinicians in the fields of Neurology and Neuroradiology throughout the DMV. I plan to bring this background and my collaborative skills to FRC.

In my free time, I spend quality time with my husband exploring DC theaters and restaurants, the Virginia and Maryland outdoors and international destinations.

I am a member of the Maryland Radiological Society (MRS), and chair of the committee for Diversity and Inclusion. I have served as a counselor for the American College of Radiology (ACR), one of the governing boards that addresses legislative issues related to Radiology. I plan to continue leadership work in our field to guide our daily practice, and to help bring the best care to our patients.”
