Jonathan Piersol Joins Fairfax Radiology Centers, LLC as CIO
Jonathan Piersol is the new Chief Information Officer (CI0) for Fairfax Radiology.
Piersol comes to FRC from The Thurston Group LLC in Camp Springs, MD, where he served as Vice President and CIO. In this role, he led a digital transformation strategy for a U.S. federal government agency, including deploying cloud infrastructure to run a global electronic health record system.
Prior, Piersol was President of Denmark & Associates, Owner, and principal consultant providing leadership to a management consultancy service that delivered digital transformation and technology innovation to clients in the federal government, utilities, higher education, and communications sectors.
"Jon is an effective I.T. leader with three decades of experience leading information technology teams," said Fairfax Radiology CEO Lance Boyd. "He joins us during a time of growth, and based on his performance for other companies, we are confident he will be an asset to our organization."
As CIO, Piersol will develop and implement technology-oriented best practices and position FRC as a leader in radiology-related technology innovation.
"I am passionate about building the best infrastructure to support our team, patients, and referring physicians," Piersol said.
Piersol holds an MBA from Georgetown University, Washington D.C., and a Master of Science in Information Systems from George Washington University, Washington D.C.
A native Washingtonian, Piersol previously served in the U.S. Marines during Operation Desert Shield and Storm. He is single with three adult children, a daughter Ariese, 34; and two sons Malik, 27; Ethan, 20, and he has one grandson Omari, 12.
