New Location Parking Instructions:

  • We are located at 8081 Innovation Park Drive, Fairfax VA 22031, on the new Inova Center for Personalized Health campus, across the street from Inova Fairfax Medical Campus.
  • From Interstate 495/Capital Beltway, take exit 51 to VA-650/Gallows Road - North.
  • Take the second right to turn on to Peterson Discovery Drive. The Inova Schar Cancer Institute will be directly ahead on the left.
  • Free Valet Parking (Monday through Friday 7:00am-4:30pm) is available at Zone #1 near the Main Entrance. Look for the signs along Innovation Park Drive.
  • Free Patient and Visitor Self-Parking is available in the “B” - Orange Garage at the north end of the campus.
  • From the “B” - Orange Garage enter The Pavilion at the “orange” entrance on Level 1 and take The Pavilion elevators up to the 3rd floor for MRI.

Body MRI

An imaging test that uses a magnetic field and radio waves to captures images of the chest, abdomen and/or pelvic regions.

Breast MRI

A noninvasive test that uses an intravenous contrast, magnetic field, radio waves, and a computer to produce detailed images of the breast's soft tissue.

Cardiac MRI

An imaging test that uses a magnetic field and radio waves to capture images of the anatomy of the heart in order to diagnose and monitor cardiac disease.

Fetal MRI

A type of MRI performed during pregnancy to evaluate a fetus for any conditions or complications that may be present.

Image-Guided Breast Biopsy

A non-surgical procedure that uses the aid of an imaging device to guide a Radiologist while performing a Biopsy on a breast lump or mass.

Magnetic Resonance Angiography

A noninvasive test that uses a powerful magnetic field and radio waves to evaluate the function of blood vessels in the body.

Magnetic Resonance Arthrogram

A two-part exam that uses a magnetic field, radio waves and a contrast agent injected into the joint to show a more detailed image, including the cartilage, tendons and ligaments.

Magnetic Resonance Defecography

A noninvasive test that uses powerful magnets and radio waves to evaluate rectal function and determine how well the pelvic muscles are working.

Magnetic Resonance Elastography

A type of MRI that determines the stiffness (elasticity) of the liver by capturing the movements of the tissue and creating a color-coded map to pinpoint any areas of concern.

Magnetic Resonance Enterography

A noninvasive test that uses powerful magnets and radio waves to produce detailed images of the small intestine to help diagnose Inflammatory Bowel Disease and other abnormalities.
